Mission Statement
To end violence against women by engaging men in the process of personal, relational, and social change.
Join The White Ribbon Campaign
The White Ribbon Campaign (WRC) is the largest effort in the world of men working to end violence against women. In 1991, a handful of men in Canada decided they had a responsibility to urge men to speak out about violence against women.
Wearing a white ribbon is a personal pledge to never commit, condone, or remain silent about violence against women and girls. Now in over 55 countries, campaigns are led by both men and women, even though the focus is on educating men and boys. In some countries, it is a general public education effort focused on ending violence against women.
The Center for Women and Families (CWF) in Bridgeport has started a taskforce whose primary focus is engaging men to end violence against women. We meet monthly and encourage anyone interested to please join us!
If you are interested in more information about WRC or attending a taskforce meeting, held at CWF, please contact Stephanie Stacy at (203)334-6154 or sstacy@cwfefc.org. You can also take a pledge right now to end violence against women and girls by completing the pledge form on this page! Click here to view a list of our supporters.
