Directions and Parking Information

The Center for Women and Families is easily accessible from all major Connecticut highways and throughways. Our building is also handicap and wheelchair friendly with four handicap designated parking spaces and ramps for easy entry. All parking spaces are available on a first come, first serve basis only. From New York (back to top)

• Go North on I-95
• Get off at Exit 26 (Wordin Avenue)
• At the end of the ramp turn left at traffic light
• Go under 2 overpasses
• At State Street (dead end) turn right and move to the left side of street
• At the 2nd gas station on the left turn left on Park Avenue (first major intersection)
• At first traffic light turn left, The Center will be on the left
• Turn left into the driveway between The Center and the Visiting Nurse Association
• At the end of the driveway go left and park as close to Fairfield Avenue as possible
• Walk to the entrance on the Fairfield Avenue side of the building

From New Haven (back to top)

• Go South on I-95
• Get off at Exit 27 (Lafayette Boulevard) and bear right
• At end of ramp turn right onto Lafayette Boulevard
• At fourth (4th) traffic light turn left onto John Street
• Follow John Street to the traffic light at Park Avenue
• Go right across Park Avenue onto Fairfield Avenue (there is a fountain at the junction)
• The first building on the left after you cross Park Avenue is The Center for Women and Families
• Enter the first driveway on the left between The Center and the Visiting Nurse Association
• At the end of the driveway go left and park as close to Fairfield Avenue as possible
• Walk to the entrance on the Fairfield Avenue side of the building

From Merritt Parkway (Route 15) (back to top)

• Take Exit 47 (from either direction) and travel South on Park Avenue toward Bridgeport for approximately 3.5 miles
• Turn right onto Fairfield Avenue at St. John’s Episcopal Church (there is a fountain at the junction of Park and Fairfield Avenues)
• Cross to left side of the street and enter the first driveway on the left (between The Center and the Visiting Nurse Association)
• At the end of the driveway go left and park as close to Fairfield Avenue as possible
• Walk to the entrance on the Fairfield Avenue side of the building

From Route 8-25 Connector South (back to top)

• Take Exit 2 (Fairfield Avenue) turn right at the end of the ramp on to Fairfield Avenue
• Get into the left lane
• At the first stop light (at the fountain) you will be looking at The Center for Women and Families
• Go straight through the light and enter the first driveway on the left between The Center and the Visiting Nurse Association
• At the end of the driveway go left and park as close to Fairfield Avenue as possible
• Walk to the entrance on the Fairfield Avenue side of the building

• Go South on I-91 to I-95 South
• Get off at Exit 27 (Lafayette Boulevard) and bear right
• At end of ramp turn right onto Lafayette Boulevard
