The participants of this training will better understand teen dating violence, its dynamics and the effects on the victims and perpetrators. Participants will also learn about how to communicate with teens about healthy relationships.

Event Description
Darkness To Light's Stewards of Children program is the only nationally available program proven to increase knowledge, improve attitudes and change child-protective behaviors. Participants will learn facts about the problem of child sexual abuse, the types of situations in which child sexual abuse might occur, simple, effective strategies for protecting children from sexual abuse, the importance of talking about the prevention of sexual abuse with children and other adults, and the signs of sexual abuse so you that you might intervene and be able to react responsibly.

Ride Against Child Abuse

Constant exposure shapes what they perceive to be normal and they think that violence is accept-able, fun and entertaining. Participants will enhance their knowledge about the great impact that media violence has and how it has reached epidemic proportions in society. Throughout this training, participants will learn about the effects of media violence, strategies to prevent children and youth from normalizing violence, statistics, and media stereotypes.

Smart was one of the most followed child abduction cases of our time. Elizabeth was abducted
on June 5, 2002 and her captors had controlled her by threatening to kill her and her family if she tried to escape. Fortunately, the police safely returned Elizabeth back to her family on
